In questa zona il caffè cresce ancora spontaneamente. Oltre 700 di questi piccoli agricoltori portano le loro ciliegie di caffè mature alla stazione di lavaggio di Chire, uno dei tanti impianti di lavorazione privati nella regione montuosa orientale di Sidamo, in Etiopia.
