Honduras COMSA Marcala
milk chocolate, orange, and caramel: an easy, sweet cup that still has some life to it. it comes from COMSA (cafe organico marcala), a cooperative started in 2000 by 62 honduran farmers who set out to move their farms from conventional to organic growing. they earned organic certification in 2001 and fair trade certification in 2006, and the fair trade premium helps pay local teachers' salaries and buy school supplies.
