Peru - Efrain Carhuallocllo
This is our first Geisha variety in the roastery, and we couldn't have asked for a better introduction to the cultivar. El Cerro comes from Efrain Carhuallocllo Salvador, one of the most decorated producers in Peru, and it is the first of three Peruvians we are bringing in this season. On the cupping table it showed marzipan sweetness and kiwi acidity, with citron notes and a bergamot and lavender-like florality that lingered long into the finish. It is everything you'd hope for from a Geisha grown at this altitude and handled with this level of care.
