Drumroaster Coffee · Canada
Ireneo Ramirez
This coffee is from the project we've been highly invested in with Xinca indigenous smallholder coffee producers in the region surrounding the town of Mataquescuintla, Guatemala. Since 2014, this group has been involved in maintaining the closure of the Escobal Silver Mine, owned by Vancouver-based, Pan American Silver. We’ve been involved in bringing this group’s coffee to market in Canada since 2018, with the help and support of Bows Coffee Roasters and Semilla Coffee. Ireneo Ramirez and his brothers-in-law all produce coffee in the region of El Durazno, about 30 minutes from Mataquescuintla
