The farm was originally planted in 1959 by Florence's husband, Edward Marigi, and throughout the years, they have not introduced newer, hybrid varieties, such as Ruiru 11 and Batian. Instead, their farm is comprised solely of SL28 and SL34 trees which are highly regarded for their quality potential and the classic and beloved Kenyan coffee flavor profile. That being said,
