Not to be confused with the alcohol, 'bourbon' varietal coffee refers to a type of arabica coffee plant that is typically classified as either 'red' or 'yellow' depending on the color of the ripe coffee cherries. What makes this bean special is that it comes from a rare hybrid varietal, the 'pink' bourbon, which has been cultivated by the Finca La Primavera farm in Colombia.
