This fresh crop coffee returns to us from producer Lizardo Montoya through our friends at Arango Specialty Coffee— Lizardo and his wife Luz Dary have been producing coffee for over a decade on their farm “La Primavera” in Urrao, Antioquia, in the mountains just west of Medellín. Rare and endemic to this region is the sought-after Chiroso variety, first discovered for it’s fungal resistance, and later lauded for it’s intense flowery tropical fruit notes. Lizardo & Luz are excited to be developing and growing relationships with importers and roasters through the cultivation of this specia
