Our first Burundi coffee comes to us from the Businde Washing Station in the Matongo commune of northern Burundi, specifically within the Butanyerera province. This award winning washing station (previous Cup of Excellence winner) creates unique collectives while holding high standards for the coffees that are processed through their facility. In response to their success, the washing station assist farmers with coffee seedlings, natural fertilizers in the form of coffee pulp and financial incentives to improve the coffee farming methods used in these highland areas.
