MEET THE PRODUCER | Haider Abamecha, who owns and operates two-going-on-three coffee farms (and several washing stations) in Jimma, Ethiopia, has been working in coffee for over 30 years. Although he spent five of those years working abroad in Saudi Arabia, he returned to Ethiopia in the late aughts and launched his first export venture in 2011. Today, Haider oversees several operations throughout Jimma, building each of them within a framework of ethical farming and social welfare.
