Peru Decaf FTO Swiss Water Process
Formally established in 2015, the Norcafe Cooperative was created by a group of university students who were the children of smallholder coffee farmers and wanted to see the lives of coffee farmers improve. Their strategy was continuous improvements in production and quality. They started with with 100 farming families in the Amazonas highlands of northern Peru. Today, nearly 500 families growing coffee on a total of 1,200 hectares of land above 1,400 meters belong to the cooperative and several are producing award winning coffees. Almost half of the members are women. The Swiss Water® Process
