Grown at 1,800 meters in the Othaya region of Nyeri County, Mahiga is a vibrant and complex expression of Kenyan coffee. Produced by more than 500 smallholder farmers and cultivated primarily with SL-28 and SL-34, the coffee is carefully processed at the Mahiga Wash Station, where cherries are kept separate by delivery to preserve and identify quality. The cup opens with tart, juicy fruit and the rich sweetness of simmered berries, evoking cranberry sauce, black currant, dark grape, and raisin. Notes of brown sugar, turbinado, and subtle malty sweetness provide a warm, molasses-like foundation
