Decaffeinated coffee has come a long way since its first cup was served in 1903. Some roasters are still living in those dark ages, using a decaffeinating process that employs chemicals to strip caffeine molecules from the green coffee bean. We buy our beans from the Swiss Water Decaffeinated Coffee Company, where they use pristine water from the coastal mountains of British Columbia to gently wash and remove the caffeine, leaving the coffee beans 99.9% caffeine-free.
