Kenya · Nyeri Kagunyu is a cooperative wet mill in Mukurweini, Nyeri, and one of the stations of Rumukia Farmers’ Cooperative Society. Under the leadership of Magdalene Mwangi, the factory has been rebuilding trust with its members and strengthening quality work. Washed coffee is the factory’s main focus. During our February 2026 visit we saw digital cherry weighing, four-disc pre-grading, density separation, fermentation and washing tanks, and the work behind careful lot preparation. In the cup: cranberry, grapefruit, maple syrup, prune.
