Tasting notes: Fruity and creamy with notes of strawberry and cherry syrup If you're a long-time Bird and Bear coffee drinker, you may recognize this storied Ethiopian bean. In 1991, after the death of her husband, Bedhatu Jibicho took over her family's 84 acre farm, and became a member of the YCFCU (Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmer's Cooperative Union). In 2013, Bedhatu was recognized as a model farmer. Because of the unique quality of this coffee, Bedhatu started a pilot program to prepare and sell her own coffee independently from the co-op, and later launched her own export business with her sons
