Idido is a remote community in Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe region. Here at 1900-2200 MASL local small holders deliver their cherry to be processed at the Idido washing station. This washed lot harvested in January 2025 is tasting balanced and sweet with notes of papaya, orange and lemon as well as black tea and vanilla. The area around Idido is home to some of the worlds oldest coffee traditions. Farmers here practice intercropping coffee with native trees, rely on shared compost prepared at collection centers, and process coffee through extended fermentation and raised-bed drying.
