Finca El Mesón sits in the vereda of Berlin in southern Huila, where steep ridgelines and shifting soils mark the transition between Colombia’s mountain systems. Reaching the farm means a long drive along winding roads before the landscape opens to exposed slopes and narrow ridges planted with Pink Bourbon. We have visited Luz Divia and Elpidio many times over the years, most recently last October, walking the farm and seeing how coffee is grown across this demanding terrain.
