Para a fazenda Recreio, que está localizada em uma altitude de 1.400m, foi selecionado um lote da variedade Bourbon Amarelo, que passou por um processamento de cereja descascado com mucilagem: o Honey. Após o processo de descascamento o café foi levado para o terreiro e espalhado em uma camada grossa, onde sofreu uma fermentação natural. Após 6 horas, foi espalhado em camadas mais finas e iniciou-se o processo natural de seca. Em seguida, foi armazenado em tulhas de madeira naval, processado após 60 dias de sua secagem. Todo este processo em conjunto com o trabalho de definição do perfil ideal
