He follows you home. Most nights, that's a good thing. On dark roads in Costa Rica, people tell stories about El Cadejos: a huge black dog with burning red eyes and a chain dragging behind him, who shows up when you're walking home too late. In some tellings he hunts the ones who stray. In others he walks beside them until they're safely home. Nobody agrees on which, and nobody sees him coming.
