The Geisha (Gesha) variety rose to international fame through Hacienda La Esmeralda, particularly after taking first place at the Best of Panama competition in 2004. It is known for its pronounced floral aromatics, with prominent notes of jasmine and bergamot, bright citrus acidity, sweetness, and a long, tea-like finish.
