This lovely coffee is produced primarily by women and is earthy and a bit spicy. Bener Meriah in Sumatra is renowned for traditional coffee cultivation by the Gayonese people. Farms average under three acres, with 70% of producers being women supporting their families. Producers carefully sort, depulp, and ferment cherries overnight before washing. They utilize Indonesia's classic Giling Basah (wet-hulling) method, removing the parchment while moisture remains high. T
