Origen y plantación Sólo se utilizan los mejores granos de las zonas de plantación del este y centro de Cuba. La mayor parte del café crece en las laderas escarpadas de las cadenas montañosas a una altitud media de 400 a 800 m. Las plantaciones son gestionadas por cooperativas de propiedad estatal. No se utilizan fertilizantes artificiales. El control y desarrollo de las plantas se lleva a cabo con mucho cuidado y se considera de gran valor para mantener y expandir su crecimiento natural.
