Pedro kohvi lugu sai alguse 1975. aastal, kui ta otsustas peale aedubade kasvatamise proovida õnne ka kohvikaupmehena. Nagu paljud edulood, algas ka tema oma tagasilöögiga, kui tänu headele soovitustele oli tal indu jätkata. Peagi müüs Pedro oma esimese kohvisaagi ja ostis kohvitaimede istutamiseks maatüki. Üsna pea armus ta kohvikunsti niivõrd, et otsustas täielikult sellele pühenduda.
