Nginda Estate AA/AB
Kenya · Embu Nginda is a Ndwiga family estate near Kamavindi in Embu. The family has grown coffee since the 1960s; its own pulping station was built in 1998. On our February 2026 visit, we followed the estate’s wet-milling work: rotary depulping, fermentation in untiled tanks, manual sorting and raised-bed drying. The family deliberately keeps SL genetics for cup quality. In the cup: blackcurrant jam, candied lemon.
