“Add a little New Orleans to your Coffee” Since 1804 Leroux has been producing some of the world’s finest chicory. Chicory coffee is rooted in New Orleans and still served widely today. Ever heard of “Café Du Monde”? It all began during the Civil War. The Union Navy blocked all commerce into and out of the Mississippi River. New Orleanians, in an effort to stretch out the coffee inventory added chicory to it. Well, we never stopped doing it. Adds a great richness to your cup. Add and much or as little to your coffee grounds as you like. A traditional Louisiana favorite!
