Dark chocolate, pipe tobacco, pine Of the 9 million people who live in PNG, 2.5 million are coffee growers. This bean hails from three provinces- Simbu, Eastern Highlands, and Morobe. More than 1000 small farms put their harvests together for this coffee. These beans are a combination of Typica and Bourbon varietals. The Typica beans hail from a lineage that were the first plants smuggled out of Yemen in the 1600s via the Malabar Coast of India. The Bourbon beans also came from that Yemeni seed stock, but it stopped for a bit in the French territory Bourbon (now called Reunion) Island befor
